When a girl is single (such as myself) - She goes on dates with all different kinds of people. Some dates last less than an hour - some last many hours. It depends on the chemistry between the two people. :)
Girls love to tell other girls about a 'new' guy they have met. The girlfriends want to know the 'new' guy's name - how did they meet, what he does for a living, etc. It can be exhausting - or at least I think so.
Therefore, my roommate and I came up with 'George'. 'George' represents all the guys whom a girl dates. It's so much easier to say "I'm going out with George" than have to tell your friends - you've met a guy - he does this _______ for work, etc.
When do you get to tell your friends about the 'real George'? This answer may vary as each relationship is different. Once a girl feels the 'George' she is dating might lead to something more - perhaps a meaningful relationship - then its okay to tell your family and friends about the real George.
Dating 'George' can be fun. It can also be a pain - as you might go out with a 'George' - have fun but then never hear from that 'George' again. I am having fun dating 'George'. But, I do hope - someday soon - a 'George' would turn into a LTR in which I can share all the funny stories with my friends and family about this great guy.
I am a fun, smart, cute girl and I deserve the best "George" there is! = )

PS - For my guy friends - they use the name 'Georgina' for the girls they date.

What a Girl Wants (part one)
So I was asked tonight -What am I looking for in a guy/relationship and I found myself speechless. Well, I know what I am looking for but to explain that - tough.
Let me see if I can collect my thoughts now: (I'll try..haha)
First, the guy must ask me out. I am done with games, if a guy is interested in dating me - he must ask me out. I am horrible at 'reading' people and don't want any games.
That being said: I want be with someone who cares about making me happy. Granted - I understand it's not all about me - I just have never had the relationship where I am treated like a Queen. I have always treated the guy like King. I want someone to treat me the way I treat others. I do go out of my way to make other people happy and do little things to make them smile. = )
I like to hold hands with a guy - give and get hugs. I do like PDA (of course when appropriate)
I want to do things that I want to do. I am tired of planning everything in a relationship - I want the guy to plan trips or things to do - I want to go to NYC and see the city. Go on a cruise. Go the beach and stay ALL day. Get there early when the sun comes up and don't leave till the sun sets. Someone to laugh with and even cry with. Go to Fenway and watch the RedSox. Or go to a Pats game. I want to be surprised with flowers.
I guess - I want a relationship like the times of my Nana. When a guy would ask a girl out - a date would be planned by the guy - the girl would get dressed up - then the guy would pick up the girl and take her out for a fun evening - show up with flowers - perhaps dinner and dancing. Then the girl is driven home - a kiss and good night. Whatever happened to the 'courting' of a girl (as my father told me the many stories on he won my Mom over and he 'courted' her)
I want to date someone who know what they want out life. Someone who someday when the time is right does want to get married and have a family. I want to date someone who will encourage me and push me to do well in work and challenge me, physically and mentally. I want someone to be my best friend - someone I can tell everything to - or nothing and just laugh.
I am done with the frogs and toads - I want to meet my prince :)
Not sure if this makes any sense. It's hard to list what a girl wants or what I want. But I do know - when I meet the person - it will just 'click' and make sense. Till then I'll keep writing and you'll keep reading.
Thanks for listening,
FN
